Qualifications:
Is at least 21 years old and agrees to abide by the Scout Oath and the Scout Law. Possesses the moral, educational, and emotional qualities that the Boy Scouts of America deems necessary to afford positive leadership to youth. Is a member of the chartered organization other than the unit leader or assistant unit leader. Is appointed by the chartered organization to serve as its official Scouting representative and is registered as an adult leader of the BSA.
Responsibilities:
Build an organization to enroll family members and Boy Scout leaders in FOS.
Enroll as a Friend of Scouting.
For every five families in the troop, recruit one person as an enroller.
Attend an FOS kickoff meeting.
Enroll each enroller as a Friend of Scouting.
Train enrollers.
Conduct report meetings.
Follow up until all FOS cards have been accounted for.
Give recognition to contributors and enrollers.
Work closely with the Troop committee on public relations for FOS.
