Job Description:
The Order of the Arrow (OA) is the national honor society of the Boy Scouts of America (BSA). It is a youth-led organization that seeks to recognize and honor Scouts who exemplify the Scout Oath and Law in their daily lives. One of the key positions within the OA and the Scouts BSA program is the OA Troop Representative. The OA Troop Representative is a youth leadership position within a Scouts BSA troop. They serve as a liaison between the Order of the Arrow and their troop, working to promote and support OA activities and initiatives within the troop. The The OA Troop Representative is responsible for helping to plan and execute OA events and communicating information about the OA to their fellow Scouts. To be eligible for the The OA Troop Representative position, a Scout must be a registered member of both their troop and the OA. They must also have been elected to the Order of the Arrow by their fellow Scouts and completed the OA induction ceremony.
Qualifications:
Appointed by Senior Patrol Leader and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader with Scoutmaster approval.

Reports to:
Assistant Senior Patrol Leader
Duties:
Serves as a communication link between the lodge or chapter and the troop.
Encourages participation in monthly camping outings.
Encourages participation in summer camp.
Encourages older Scout participation in high adventure programs.
Encourages Scouts to actively participate in community service projects.
Encourages Arrowmen to assume leadership positions in the troop.
Encourages Arrowmen in the troop to be active participants in the lodge and/or chapter activities and to seal their membership in the Order by becoming Brotherhood members.
Sets a good example.
Wear the field uniform (class A) correctly to all regular troop meetings and religious services.
Wear the activity uniform (class B t-shirt) to all outings and other troop activities.
Lives by the Scout Oath, Scout Law and OA Obligation.
Shows Scout spirit.
